Let's make a safety change at Rural Railway crossings

Wanting the railroad crossings safer. I was nervous crossing them when the sum would block out the lights during the day.

I am so sorry for the tragic loss of your father. Hopefully the Railways will upgrade every crossing and make the roads safer to travel Heavy sinage a very good distance to the approace of the crossing should help, boom gates would be ideal as well. Lets hope this happens to save lives.

Thoughts are with Noel's family and friends. Safety is the future.

These changes shouldn't need a petition or a death to be changed.My Nephew died at a crossing near Moree about 18 years ago .These changes need to be done as soon as possible so no more lives are lost.

If by making changes can stop other families going through the heartache of losing a loved one, then you must do something that helps to save lives Remember you could be next, you don.t have to be in a truck. for tragedy to strike.

I sign this for my Pop who was extremely lucky to escape major injuries, the Aynsleys that weren't as lucky and to all of the other families and friends of those who have suffered injuries and lost lives. I am sorry to hear about your loss. May it not be in vain but bring change.

The railway crossings surrounding my town (only 20 mins from Tullamore) don't even have lights, and it's often hard to see past the trees that line the track to know whether a train is coming. It's not at all acceptable that these frequently used roads are so unsafe.

As a member of the Police Rescue Squad I would like to see more safety at railway crossings so family's do not suffer from the grief of losing a loved one like Noel and all the other victims of similar accidents. These tragedies can avoided at a small cost.

My parents were hit by a train at a level crossing many years ago. Let's hope this petition can make a difference.

I agree that all level crossings for cars and people should have lights an bells and boom gates to prevent further loss of life.

This is also relevant for Qld & Vic as well.

As the mother of new drivers I see this as more than a regional issue. RIP Noel and my sympathy goes out to the family to lose their Dad in such a senseless death.
