The Portuguese make up a huge percentage of Ontario‘s population. Please bring back the Portuguese news.

So disappointing!!!!!

Please bring back portuguese soaps. It was rude and unprofessional how OMNI ended airing it right in the middle of it.

My parents purchase cable for the portuguese programming. If it doesn’t come back they will stop Purchasing cable.

So disappointing to have the portuguese programming cancelled so many seniors only had this to look forward to especially at this time of crisis . Please bring the 2 soaps back.

I'm truly disappointed that OMNI stopped airing the Portuguese soap operas on channel 1206. Our community has been enjoying these soap operas for over 40 years and now the network decides that other ethnic programs are more worthy of the air time ?!!! The Portuguese community is a very large percentage of Canadians who built this country and we deserve and insist you bring back our programs.

Bring back the Portuguese soap opera, very disappointing how it was as cut off without any warnings. I have been a faithful watcher for years.

So disappointed in OMNI for cancelling virtually ALL of the Portuguese programs, except the news, particularly at this difficult time. So many in the community turned to OMNI to make the isolation of lock-down a little better by enjoying programs in their own language, only to be shut out. Bring back the Portuguese programming! Be inclusive to ALL cultures and languages.

Why did onmi stop the Portuguese soaps? Both are in the middle of the soap. Why not wait until it's done to change programming. I remember watching with my grandmother, mother and now my daughters watch with me. Keep Portuguese programs!!!!!

If Omni feels that the rate of viewership from the Portuguese community it should consider bettering it's program offering to the community. This would be the wisest of choices as the Portuguese community has a particularity where it's next generations stay close to the roots of their progenitors and subsequently ancestors. This can be easily evidenced at any portuguese community social event at various clubs that exist, at the yearly parade every June on Dundas street, on social media and at the different levels of mainstream society where the newer generations of portuguese have inserted themselves but always displaying portuguese pride (I site as an example here Sid Seixeiro on the Sportsnet network who passionately displays his love of Portugal on air during major sporting events). If Omni made this decision solely on a business sense logic and not with any bias intent then I again invite you to revisit this position and create a team to explore the potential numbers of viewers (especially what could come into the fold over the next few decades) and brainstorm and create content that caters to this new generation in supporting them in keeping close to their roots as well as help them continue with their offspring.
