Its called the Poquott Civic Assn. they should be able to meet in the Poquott Village Hall.

I firmly support the Civic Association being allowed to meet at Village Hall. A civic association is an important part of any community. They are not just a social committee planning parties, they help to keep residents informed about what is going on in the village and help promote resident participation.

This Admin. is eliminating resident participation: by closing/cancelling meetings; changing dates/venues; all Comments at the end;Civics out. Take back our Village!

The way things are going in this country, the LAST thing we need is the shutting out of a Civic Association. That move would GUARAHTEE strife between elected officials and ordinary citizens. As far as I am concerned going through with that resolution should trigger a drive to RECALL both the mayor and the members of the council .

Village government should support what is deemed good for the Village, and village civic associations always are.

It is time to stop the contentious counter productive behavior that has gone on in our village. Allow the Civic Association to continue meeting in Village Hall. It is time to heal
