For 40 years now, U2 are delivering albums enjoyed by millions around the world. One of them is really neglected by the band when it comes to celebrate anniversaries of their studio offerings, that album is Pop. As a U2 fan, I'm tired of seeing and hearing the band constantly forget how great that album is and how important it is among the U2 fans. It really deserves a deluxe treatment like their best albums (achtung baby, joshua tree...) already had. If the plan is to release anniversaries boxsets of the same albums every 5 years, that plan is ridiculous and will lack interesting new material. If the band considers this album as a mistake that's their call, but it was released and they should embrace that mistake.... we all learn from ours and should not bury them and try to forget about them. So let our voice be heard, they should know that this album stands the test of time and is something to be proud of... and they should know that among the fans, it is one of their favorite. Celebrate it with the fans with a deluxe treatment, the material is there and is waiting to see the light of day.
