The fact that in the year 2014 we still have a ban on women serving as priests is un-excusable. There is no justifiable reason for women to be banned from being priests. This needs to end now. We love the initiatives that Pope Francis has brought forward calling for all priests to go out into their communities and work more closely with the poor and those in desperate need. We like his call to get the focus of the church away from an over emphasis on controversial topics such as gay marriage and abortion. We believe that Pope Francis is willing to listen to reason on this subject. We believe he is a leader and can go down in history as the Pope that made this important correction in favor of equality. Join us in signing this petition that will be sent as a polite suggestion to Pope Francis to end the ban on women priests this year. Thank you, Howard Leonhardt

I feel that women are capable of anything and if a woman would like to be a priest she should be able to be a priest.

Let's stop discriminating based on what's in our pants, when that affects literally nothing about doing the job.

The issue of woman priests is not really about being priests at all it is about breaking down all barriers put up by THE GOOD OLD BOYS NETWORK that hold women down. When a 10 year old boy learns that the church, even if he does not attend that church, bans women from being priests, and that the U.S. government gives tax exempt status to this organization, he starts to believe that chauvinism is not only OK but is endorsed by high authority. He starts to go down a path where he thinks women truly are by code inferior to men. This is what this stand is about. Ending that pattern of machoism in all forms.

There may be more pressing causes but this is symbolic. NO MORE old white guys telling women they can't do something that they do themselves. This is not about priests it is about overcoming a built in machoism and chauvinism that must end in all forms. They should lose their tax exempt status if they do not change. I cannot believe we give tax exempt status to people that collect free money and then apply discrimination.

This is nothing about being Catholic. This is about women's rights. This is about an organization getting tax exempt status collecting in millions and using that money to practice blatant clear discrimination against women. This is about breaking the hold of the good OLD guys that practice discrimination against women in many forms. Did you know women have only received 5% of the venture funds in the past 20 years in the USA while men owned firms received 95%? This is what this is about. Breaking the GOOD OLD BOYS network down.
