Poona Foreshore

It’s ridiculous that the council does nothing to help protect the foreshore.

Breaks my heart to see so much neglect by the council the foreshore has sustained. Even in the 2 years I've been coming here to my block I can see a big change. There doesn't seem to have ever been any attempt at all ever to do anything. It's very upsetting.

I see somebody has put a tyre retaining wall around the tree just behind where this picture was taken and it’s still there, and the rest of the bank long gone. If I was the person who did it I’d finish the rest of the off all the way past that old retaining wall, stuff the council

Maybe dredge the channel onto the foreshore and kill two birds. And obviously sandbag also

Gradual erosion has been on going for several years yet the council ignores our concerns even though we pay our rates like other council areas council action required

Please help before there will be no beach for children in the future

I used to live at Poona and it is a bloody disgrace how the Council has allowed the foreshore to deteriorate. If they did their job there would be no need for a petition to get the problem solved. They take your rates and spend it on Maryborough.

but will they listen?

Action is well and truly overdue.

What a wonderful save to the foreshore at Poona done by Murray and then to be harassed for looking after the environment when those in charge have neglected the Poona area for so long.

Something has to be done to fix the erosion.

Council should be ashamed of themselves for not helping to save the foreshore as Murray has done.

Please continue the good work already started to save the Poona foreshore. Such a beautiful place.

Save all Fraser coast foreshores, they've saved Hervey Bay, now start on the rest.
