I support our firefighters. I appreciate knowing that we have services close by. I do not support closing the department, although I do question the need for the recently hired 2 additional firefighters.

They have ways been there for us let us show them we are there for them! We would have to pay for service from another town which would take much longer to get to your home. Be it a fire, or an emergency every minute counts. Your very life could be at risk! Why would anyone choose to end the fire department in their town? We w ok uld be going backwards,Not forward.

I have gone to Ponce inlet several times.The drive down there and the view is wounderful.I have talked with firefighters,police and medical while visiting down there.When you have these people that work in you community every day it makes you feel more at ease.They are risking there lives for you and care about the city they work in.Keep who you have.Let these people keep your city safe and taken care of.Of you get rid of the fire/paramedics your police will be next.

I am a Ponce Inlet home owner and I want to have our fire department in Ponce Inlet to stay in Ponce Inlet and to continue serving its citizens.

As a retired Lieutenant / Paramedic (City of Orlando) I know how much a community needs fire/ems and police. Also as an instructor in the EMT and Paramedic program at Daytona State College I have had the pleasure to teach many of these firefighters. I always said my passing grade was if I or my family ever needed their service would I feel comfortable with who showed up to take over care. I have no doubt that these fine firefighters are the best. You can not place a price on fast dedicated service do not let your hero's become zero's. Support them.

As of noon today 171 people have signed this petition. The last official US Census in 2010 recorded the population of Ponce Inlet at 3,032. Please share this petition with friends and family who may not be on Nextdoor. Also, please note that you do not have to donate to sign the petition. Because ipetitons is a free web site they ask for a donation to keep the site running.

Protecting our lives and property is priority one. The fire fighters and EMS of Ponce Inlet have and should continue to provide us with this service. The fact that this nonsensical notion of removing their service from us has arisen is obvious, it’s time to drain our own Swamp! As a citizen of Ponce Inlet , I apologize to our great Men & Woman of our Fire Dept/EMS for not paying attention to what our “Fifedom” of officials was doing . Now, we the sleeping giant are on notice...and I for one will be attending/watching ALL Town Council Meetings for which my $$ are being appropriated.
