Spett.le Politecnico di Milano,

Per alcuni millenni molte nazioni hanno celebrato il primo giorno di primavera, come il loro nuovo anno. Oggi, quasi 300 milioni di persone in tutto il mondo celebrano questo giorno, come il loro nuovo anno, meglio conosciuto come Nowrouz (New Day). E' il primo giorno dell'anno solare e un giorno festivo in molti paesi tra cui: Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Turchia, Tagikistan, India, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Kurdistan, Uzbekistan, Kirghizistan, Albania, Kazakistan, Daghestan, e il Kosovo. Noi, sottoscritti studenti del Politecnico di Milano, saremmo grati se la nostra università accettasse di mettere un banner speciale per il Capodanno persiano sul suo sito web il Mercoledì 20 marzo 2013.

خدمت دانشگاه پلی تکنیک میلان،

هزاران سال است که بسیاری از ملتها اولین روز بهار را به عنوان آغاز سال نو جشن می گیرند. و امروز، در حدود 300 میلیون نفر در سراسر جهان این روز را به عنوان سال نو جشن می گیرند که با نام نوروز شناخته می شود( روز نو) . نوروز اولین روز سال خورشیدی و یکی از اعیاد رسمی در کشورهای : ایران، عراق، افغانستان، آذربایجان، ترکیه، تاجیکستان، هند، ارمنستان، ترکمنستان، کوردستان، اوزبکستان، قرقیزستان، آلبانی، قزاقستان، داغستان و کوزوو است. ما دانشجویان دانشگاه پلی تکنیک میلان، امضا کنندگان این درخواستنامه، بسیار سپاسگزار خواهیم بود اگر دانشگاهمان قبول کندبنری مخصوص تبریک سال نو پارسی در وبسایت خود قرار دهد.

For several millenniums many nations have celebrated the first day of spring as their new year. Today, nearly 300 million people around the world celebrate this day as their new year, better known as Nowrouz (New Day). It is the first day of solar year and a public holiday in many countries including: Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Tajikistan, India, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Kurdistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Albania, Kazakhstan, Dagestan, and Kosovo. We, the undersigned students of Polytechnic University of Milan, will be grateful if our university kindly accept to put a special banner for the Persian New Year on its website on Wednesday March 20th 2013, 12:00 Noon.

Please accept our best wishes and thanks for your attention to our request.

The administration has acknowledged receipt of our formal request regarding the Nowrouz banner. I am currently coordinating with university representatives to discuss how this inclusion might better reflect the diverse international community at the Politecnico di Milano.

The level of traction this petition has gained demonstrates how much our community values diverse cultural traditions. Observing such broad agreement regarding the inclusion of Nowrouz on our university website is truly encouraging.
