This petition will be presented to the City Council in an effort to gain approval to move ahead in the process of using already owned public lands for a community garden in Port Orange. No site is being suggested at this point.
This garden will serve to beautify, educate and nourish the Port Orange community. It is a demonstration of ordinary citizens working together to build something beautiful and useful. I would love to have a community garden. I think it is a great add-on to make our community healthy and a great way to know your neighbor. In a great addition, the kids also can learn from gardening with their parents. I
