Thank you to all who have contributed so far. Really feel these students deserve another chance at their training. Lets keep the hard work up and and turn their aspirations into a reality.

the iaa and the irish government should take full responsibility and give everyones money and their education back, they are a disgrace to let this happen and not help in anyway for our future pilots to continue their education, please show some respect to these students and their families

Full compensation is required, without a doubt.

This is very expensive training and education and considerably more than the cost of sending a son or daughter to university. If any Government ( British or Irish) fails to act, no parent will have any confidence in the regulatory authorities and that their investment will be safe. Many of the affected families in the Pilot training College (PTC) debaccle willl take years to recover from this if ever. Their children's future also remains in the balance. This is to important a matter to sweep under the carpet and to be forgotten. Patrick Notaro

The IAA knew of the perilous financial situation of PTC, yet still gave approval to continue training, and taking course fees from students. They need to accept responsibility for this oversight, and provide help and compensation for students.

Our children placed themselves in the hands of PTC towards this purpose in the knowledge that it was regulated and approved by the Irish Authorities. We trusted this official approval from fellow EU state for a facility that advertised itself to all citizens within the EU.

Our nephew was one of those trainee pilots who suffered a serious financial loss from this failure by the relevant licencing authority to properly audit the accounts of the company. He, and the others, should be compensated out of public funds.

This has been devasting not only for all the family's concerned but the young men who thought this massive financial commitment would secure their future once through their training, just can't imagine how crushed these guys must be feeling, they deserve a second chance....
