The school board finally backed down and committed to fully funding our classrooms exactly how we demanded. This win proves that when we refuse to let them gut our public schools, they have no choice but to listen. Keep your eyes open because we will be watching their budget meetings …
In honor of the public educators who have positively impacted our lives, we the undersigned hereby pledge as follows: We will openly and actively support public education through our words and deeds. We will participate in honest and respectful conversations and efforts to strengthen and improve public education. We will avoid and challenge broad-sweeping disparaging comments about public educators and public education. And, we will treat public educators with respect and dignity at all times.
The school board continues to ignore our basic demands while they push their destructive agenda against our teachers. Your stories show exactly how much damage these bureaucrats are doing to our classrooms. We are not backing down until they stop treating our public educators like the enemy.

The momentum behind this push is finally forcing the critics to pay attention. It is clear that people have had enough of the baseless attacks on our schools and those who teach in them.
