I just woke up to the news that they are actually bringing it back and I am genuinely shaking because I never thought they would listen to us. Keep your eyes on the network schedule just to make sure they follow through but for now we really did it.

I am going to use this petition and the above blog posts to convince NBC to to put Allegiance back in the prime time line-up and possibly begin producing season 2.
As you know NBC has cancelled Allegiance after only 5 episodes. Why? Because it was placed in a bad time slot. It was slotted to rival Elementary (CBS) which already had a following of over 4 million viewers in the shows third year. If that wasn't enough NBC pit the show up against American Crime (ABC) which cast such veteran actors as Timothy Hutton and Felicity Huffman.Lets not mention the bang-up advertising job that ABC did. They advertised the pilot of American Crime so well that local news station around the United States were talking about the show on air.
Why is NBC going to penalize the viewers and fans for their mistake? According to several internet based, review websites, even with 8.37 million viewers, the average rating for American Crime was only 7.8 out of 10.The average rating for Elementary 8.1 and in last place was Allegiance with a 7.3.So now NBC cancels Allegiance because its 8 tenths of a point from being the top rated show on Thursday night at 10:00pm. You can see here that Allegiance did have a fan base. Yes it went up against some power house programming but it has potential to be a contender if put into a Sunday or Monday time slot.
NBC has already spent the money to produce 8 more episodes of the show. All we are asking is for them to air the remaining episodes of Allegiance during a more viable time slot, sell it to another network or internet media outlet so that we, the fans can have closure and you can recoup the money.
We, the undersigned, enjoy watching Allegiance on NBC.
Please keep Allegiance on the air. We are all devoted viewers who Pledge to continue watching the program, we will encourage others to watch as well, and will support the series’ advertisers as well. Please keep it going, either on NBC or, if necessary, on another network.

I was looking at the screen and realized how far this has moved past where I started and I honestly feel like my brain is buzzing because the network really cannot ignore this kind of energy forever. It is wild to think about how many of you popped in here to back this up even when it felt like a total long shot from the start.

This show was great! I was so excited to watch the next episode, and then I see "The Slap" is on instead...can't hold a candle to Allegiance! My husband and I are very disappointed, and surely hope the remaining episodes can be aired sometime, not just online....but on regular TV.
Blacklist and Allegiance made Thursday nights special again. It was the perfect 2 hour blend of intrigue and espionage.You know Star Trek didn't exactly bowl over the masses in the beginning but it had a solid fan base..as does Allegiance,,to with I do pledge.
Ever since the first episode, I, rather unfortunately, knew the show would ultimately be canceled as a result of its time frame. It's unfair to cancel and completely stop the show from blooming as a result of it being forced to compete with already long-established shows.
Great story line and I am shocked that it was cancelled!!! I went to check my dvr to make sure it was going to tape and it was not there. What is NBC doing??? If u want to build a viewership don't put it on the toughest night of the week.
bring the ahow back u didnt give it enough time, i didnt figure out bout the show till the 5th episode i watched all on demand in one night, the closets thing to homeland, i lo v ed the show im outraged its off the air allready.
Save our pledge to honor our country.
This quality program deserves a second opportunity to prove its bonafides.

This show was terrific. Intense, pulsing drama that drew you in. I guess too intelligent for some, you really had to pay attention, this was not for the weak of mind. I hope they at least air the last 8 episodes and tie it together.
