Pledge to fight against rising anti-Semitism on campuses and institutions. When you go to college, you may notice some clubs on campus that include BDS and SJP. These movements have violent histories and practice hateful tactics to achieve their goals. Some instances of anti-Semitism on American campuses within the past two years include:
- Anti-Israel student activists at the University of Michigan hurled death threats at Jewish student council members and called them "dirty Jews" and "kikes."
- At UC Berkeley, a Jewish girl holding an "Israel Wants Peace" sign was ramrodded with a shopping cart by the head of Students for Justice in Palestine. The judge dismissed the case and stated that they had no jurisdiction in the matter.
- At Harvard University, the Palestine Security Committee frightened Jewish students by placing mock eviction notices on their dorm rooms.
- At Northeastern University in Boston, Students for Justice in Palestine vandalized a menorah and disrupted Jewish events.
- Last fall at San Francisco State University, the General Union of Palestine Students hosted an all-day event where participants could make poster and t-shirts that said "My Heroes Have Always Killed Colonizers," meaning Jews.
- At New York University, anti-Israel students slipped eviction notices under the doors of 2,000 undergrads, scaring Jewish students and parents.
- Vassar College’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) posted a 1944 German poster on its Tumblr page portraying a many-handed monster wearing a KKK mask, holding a little man grasping a moneybag, while stomping over a European town.
- Mohammad Hammad, a then-San Francisco State University student, late last year posted pictures on his Tumblr account with him holding a long knife captioned, “Imagine me cutting off the heads of those in the Israeli Defense Forces with this.”

I have been reading through all the stories people are sending in about their own experiences on campus and honestly it is just overwhelming how much fear is out there right now. I am working on organizing all these accounts because I think if we put them all in one place people will finally have to stop pretending this is not a widespread issue. It is a slow process but talking to people who actually have the power to change university policies feels like it might finally be happening.
