Since the beginning of Inorganic Chemistry Lab I with Dr. Jason Abrams, the structure has been confusing. The syllabus isn't helpful and the dates on it are unrelated. There are no posted due dates for the lab assignment. The assignments are also difficult to complete, due to the associated videos lacking necessary information. When asked for the information, Professor Abrams either doesn't give it, or delays giving it so the assignment must be put off until shortly before it's due. Since the beginning of the semester, we were told to refer all questions to the Teaching Assistant. After following the TA's guidance, Professor Abrams said that we were doing it wrong and had one week to go back and do it again. When told that we had done it that way at the behest of our TAs, students were called liars, despite having copies of email correspondence. Aside from the curriculum issues, during multiple Zoom meetings for "office hours," Professor Abrams taught while shirtless and on camera. This, understandably, made many students uncomfortable. Due to the lack of professionalism shown by Professor Abrams, along with the disorganization and confusion regarding the expectations for this class, we request that something is done in order for us to receive the level of instruction that we expected when signing up and paying for this class. As college students, we all have a desire to learn and we implore you to provide us with that ability.
