This is a petition started in Summerville,South Carolina in an effort to change the laws of our state involving deaths caused by reckless or indifferent drivers involving motorcyclists. This law is being requested in memory of two local young people, Nicole Stockdale,19 & Barry Love,20, of Summerville, SC, who were tragically killed by a driver who carelessly pulled into their lane of traffic on April 15th 2008. At this time there is no law on the South Carolina books that this driver can be charged with. Such as Vehicular Manslaughter and/or Homicide. We feel this needs to be changed and that more suitable penalties and/or harsher punishments be made mandatory in the event of loss of life. PLEASE DO NOT use the \"anonymous\" feature unless absolutely necessary, PLEASE leave a comment of support if you would. And understand that a donation is NOT required to sign the petition, that is strictly voluntary. Also we ask that you please show, pass, email, post, or bulletin this petition to help us gain support and momentum to get this law passed. This is the last meaningful thing anyone can do for Barry, Nicole, & the countless others who have needlessly died in this awful manner. Thank you for your support.
