Dearest Mr. Selig: As a life-long Brewers fan, I emplore you to do the right thing and contract the Milwaukee Brewers. The franchise is an embarassment to professional baseball and to the city of Milwaukee. In the past 28 years, all we have to show for our efforts and our loyalty is a wild card birth and a first round playoff exit. I know this team, the city of Milwaukee, and Brewer fans are near and dear to your heart. That is why I am asking you to put this franchise and it's fans out of their misery. I understand that, in order to keep the number of teams even, there would need to be a second team contracted as well. Enter the Pittsburgh Pirates. With the string of losing seasons that the Pittsburgh fans have had to endure, I don't think you'll hear much objection from them. This would leave the American League with 14 teams and the National League with 14 teams, and perhaps provide more flexability for future realignment. So please Mr. Commissioner, from one fan to another, do the right thing and put this mediocrity that is the Milwaukee Brewers to an end. Regards, Brewer Fans
