Dear Paramount Pictures,

The internet is stewing in uproar at the reveal of the Sonic model. We humbly and respectfully ask that the design be tweaked to bear more of a resemblance to his original cartoon design. We understand that 3D modeling, texturing, rigging and animation take both extensive time and money.

I (The Original Petitioner) especially understand this since I work with the modeling, rigging, texturing and animation of 3D models.

We are willing to wait if the release date is delayed.
We are willing to pay higher ticket prices.

I would like to respectfully remind that revenue reflects directly upon consumer popularity within the film industry. The trailer is currently unpopular (As of May 1st) with a higher ratio of dislikes to likes on YouTube.

Our Suggestions:

• The Eyes: We think an enlarged eye shape (No, it does not have to be connected eyes), and slightly more stylized irises would be well received.
• The Teeth: We think that a more animalistic set of teeth (Slightly Elongated Canines) would help the fact that he is supposed to resemble an animal, and would better reflect the teeth of a hedgehog.
• The Mouth: The lower lip looks to be defined like the skin of a human lip, while the upper lip is furred. We think that a furred and/or less defined bottom lip would do the model wonders and be better received.
• The Chest: In the trailer, the patch of fur on his chest is a lighter tone than his muzzle. We believe that the model would be better received if it was the same tanned peach color of his muzzle
• The Back: The trailer shows six spines down his back, excluding his tail. We believe that the model would be better received if they were returned to the original two on his upper back.
• The Proportions: Sonic is seen to have a rather stocky torso within the trailer, akin to that of a human male. within the games he is seen with a short torso, in the shape of a triangle (Also known as an Apple Frame) with the shoulders a tad broader than the hips. We believe that the model be better received if his original Apple Frame is adopted into the model.
• The Arms: Sonic within the games is shown to have a tanned peach color of fur on his arms. (with the use of gloves) We think that this would service the model better and be better received than the blue arms, but I (The Original Petitioner) have not seen as much disdain for the arm color as some of the points on this list.
• The Hands: Sonic is known to wear white gloves with loose cloth cuffs. We think the model would be better received if the gloves are included. Alternatively, if gloves are not to be used, we think that a more animalistic take on the hands would be better received to drive the fact that he is supposed to resemble an animal. For instance: Many animals have pads on the undersides of their digits. Most animals have some form of claws rather than human-like fingernails, and this would better reflect the paw of a hedgehog, that has a paw similar to that of a dog or a cat.

I (The Original Petitioner) would like to personally apologize for the inconvenience this can/will cause. I know we are asking a lot, and I would like to extend my appreciation and admiration of Paramount Pictures for their patience with such a particular and hard to please audience.

Sonic is my childhood hero, as he is to many others, and we are passionate to see that his appearance is done due diligence.It is a dream to many a fan to see our blue hero on the silver screen.

I respectfully ask that you take these suggestions into consideration.
