Ask the executive board to resign by signing this petition!
Here is the simple truth:
For at least seven years, the Vecinos executive officers and delegates of vigilance ignored their responsibility to us, the association members, making it possible for $170,000 to be stolen from our funds. They failed us! If they were your employees, you would fire them. They are our elected officials and we can recall them or ask for their resignation.
Those officers also failed to abide by Mexico corporate laws. Pete Peterson (deceased since 2010) is listed right now in the Public Registry as president of the Vecinos, which means all activities of the corporation since his death per counsel have been acts of fraud.
It is time to make things legal, accountable, inclusive and transparent. It is time for a complete change in leadership.
Four of us are stepping up, volunteering to serve as an interim executive board, assuring that all services continue and calling for an election of new officers by the end of the year, so this community can start anew.
If you do not have confidence in the Vecinos executive board, or in the delegate of vigilance to oversee them, ask for their resignation!
Our legal efforts will continue, but right now we need your voice to be heard. Please sign this petition to have the Executive Board Step Down and let your voice be heard!

We have had our lot and cabin since 1958. We paid our dues annually untill the end of 2013, My brother Bill and I asked the board to do something with the accxumulated money or at least tell us what the plan was for it. They had no plan so as a result 2013 ended our membership. We are 100% behind having the board resign and having a new board replace those folks. How can you have that much money evaporate unless you have a board that does not pay attention and doing their job
Having served on many boards and committees it is the responsibility of all board members to oversee the business. Annual audits are the norm for most any board treasurer. While wrongdoing may not have been committed by the entire board, ultimate responsibility lays on them.
I would like to thank members of the board who actually have tried to make Cholla better. However, for at least the last 10 years, Mike has only been interested in serving those members who belong to his own little "clique"! Those of you who support the present board, say "if you aren't happy, why wasn't your name on the ballot in the last election?" My question is, "Why in the world would anyone want to be elected to a board that is NOT operating legally??? Please step down so we can move forward with a NEW LEGAL HOA!
In addition to the financial concerns and legal concerns, the current Vecinos have made changes to procedures over the years without membership vote, and has not answered any questions satisfactorily. There is no reason to not create a new homeowners association of which ALL Cholla homeowners can be a part.
After revealing huge deposits and withdrawals, thru the years you were allowed to see the monthly statements, the existing board, especially Dugan, were grossly negligent by NEVER looking at a bank statement, or they were a part of the theft. Do the honorable thing and step down. There is no defense to justify the negligence!
The current board has operated in secrecy for years. Not allowing open books to the membership and now we have a mess. The bullying behavior of the current board is unacceptable.
Please step down!!

I’m been hesitant in signing this petition because i believe it should not be made public. Only need to know individuals should have access to the petition. By publishing names you’re creating more division in the community. We’ve had to much of that already.
