Please sign this petition to get New Hampshire out of Common Core standards.

This one-size-fits-all approach can only lead to a standard so low that a majority would be expected to attain it. I am wary of a standard that strips an education of the wealth of knowledge and wisdom that is polished over centuries of time and critical thought. The common core eliminates all ancient authors and does so at its own peril. To remove context from classic plays by reading only excerpts, as opposed to a story in its entirety, is doomed to failure and only encourages the "sound bite" mentality of critical thought (or lack thereof) today. I would encourage all who read this to think outside of the box on this issue. Personal responsibility seems to be a taboo topic in our culture, but needs to be addressed in multiple areas of our lives. As parents, we should consider educating children ourselves. It is a natural extension of parenting, and is a job of such great implication, that we should not leave it to the government to accomplish.

We don't want more regulations.

Oh my goodness, words do not express my displeasure with this curriculum idea...the more I study, the more I dislike it and what it stands for.

Just read an article in the WSJ saying we had the 4th best school system in the US. Seems to me we need to do our own thing better, not adopt some unknown, untested national standard of questionable heritage.

We cannot afford to let our school standards to erode further! We need to return to our former standards of education and maintain local/State control of the education. We don't want COMMON CORE.

This is one of the worst things we can do to our kids - get out now!!!

This is nothing but an invasion of our rights, indoctrination of our children's minds and implementing an unproven experiment on the children of this great nation. It is obvious that as the American people are informed about this that they see a wolf in sheep's clothing. We need to do everything in our power to stop this atrocity from being implemented into our schools and ultimately our society.

So many people don't understand how bad Common Core really is. Everyone needs to spread the word to others about what this is really all about. They want to change history with lies, and teach our children about sex before they should ever even know what it means. It is not a schools job to teach children about sex before they know where babies even come from. Children are not all the same and they do learn different. We are going back 50 years in our progress and every parent that finds out the truth about this will be so upset they didn't know sooner. Think about who your going to vote for and anybody for Common Core VOTE THEM OUT OF NH

Common Core is a total nightmare for the future of our children. We need this out of NH. I can't believe anybody passed this law.

Common core had become a common problem.

This is a bad program. NH students deserve better.

Our children should be celebrated for excelling, not held back to meet a standard!

Our children should be given the opportunity to strive for better and not settle for standard.

Anything this confused,contested and with secret origins can't be good.

Please look at the evidence and the results. This must go. We néed the best for our kids.

More standardization is not the direction on educational system should be moving in. CC is not what our kids need.

We must stop turning our youth into sheeple. We are going to need truly thoughtful, truth-seeking leadership for our country and Common Core is not the way to assure that.
