Common Core is nothing more than a complete federal takeover of our public schools which effectively takes both parents and taxpayers out of the equation. Education has become indoctrination with the insertion of the federal government in local school systems.

The education of our children should be left to the state and local school districts. The federal government should NOT be dictating our education standards.

this curriculum is un American and it is not about teaching kids how to learn, it is about teaching them how to be stupid and live in a police state / martial law!

One size does NOT fit all. Never has, never will. That's why Charter School parents are rebelling in ever increasing numbers in the State of NH, and 4 new charter schools wait patiently for the Democratic Majority in the NH House to give them more support than they stubbornly refuse to do, all the while saying: " Why yes, we all support Charter Schools." And then vote just the opposite.

The Common Core Standards originated wit the Governors of the US with admirable goals for the standardization of education among the 50 states. However it was taken over by the Progressive agenda as well as Computer & Textbook Corporation to further distort Math, History, Civics, etc curriculums/ lessons plans
The proposed standardization resulted in a flight to mediocrity as well as untruth!

Common Core has been exposed nationwide as a massive dumbing-down of education. It transfers control from the local level to the national level, where nothing works well and mediocrity is glorified.
We do not need it in NH!

Like the Modern Math of the early 60s, this pseudo education wonder will only confuse students and add to the sinking math ability of American students.

We have been following the literature closely because our two Grandsons (3rd and 5th grade) are in a Charter School that is going down the common core path so we’ve been learning about it. Common Core students are homogenized into a nondescript mass.

Let's continue the fight for NH families. No statute that gives impersonal requirements, goes unvetted by parents, and gives standards based on national-trends to our minority students is right for us.

The whole idea of Federal Govt intrusion into areas that were NOT given to them by the United States Constitution is a tragedy and for us to allow it is a complete abdication of our duties as citizens. Say NO to Federal govt intrusion. Say NO to Common Core.

While I served on the Pittsfield School Board in 2010, we wrote a formal letter to our representatives opposing the Common Core. I, also, composed the adopted New Hampshire School Board Association resolution to oppose the Common Core then. Get us OUT!
