I have the complete Detective Cribe serious and saw him on Dr syn as the prosecutor .Yes he should have the award.

Alan Dobie is a wonderfully charismatic actor with a somewhat mysterious and magnetic character. It's true he has a seemingly serious demeanor but at the same time possesses a witty and wonderful sense of humour. He is what I would call a serious actor, and yet on a personal level, I found him to be a truly humble, caring and lovely man.

Absolutely I agree. Worked w him in Canada on Hadrian the VII. Brilliant actor...less is more. Became a huge fan of his work afterwards and often wondered why he did not get more credit.

No one could be more deserving of a Lifetime BAFTA than Alan Dobie who has been acting since 1949 and has had a most successful and varied career - and now we should honour him!
