Please show Laurel and Hardy on mainstream TV again so the next generation can enjoy them.

It's not just about the newest TV programmes and films - people don't realise that audiences today can enjoy a whole wealth of moving image. We ran a screening of the original 1931 Frankenstein a few years ago to a sell out audience aged 8 - mid-70s (it was the younger members who were enthral led from beginning to end, a few older visitors left because they were 'too scared'!)

I loved watching Laurel & Hardy on the BBC as a kid in the 70's. I recently rediscovered them and they still make me laugh. Timeless comedy. I would love to see them get their 6pm time slot back again!

I use to love getting up on christmas holidays and watching a double on bbc in the morn ..Now can't find them even when putting it into Tivo ….Very upsetting

However non-pc the films may seem to tv planners, it has to be borne in mind that they are in the main over 80 years old. They are comic book/ cartoon type characters who reflect the reality and tastes of the time. People/children living in the modern world aren't so stupid as to be negatively influenced by them.
