To allow younger generations to enjoy the wonderful humour of Laurel and Hardy that the not so younger generation of today, of which I include myself, have been lucky enough to witness all these years.

No comedians before or since even approach Stan & Ollie's greatness. Future generations MUST have access to their their work to know what real comedy is. After cartoons, Laurel & Hardy shorts were the first films that held my attention; I understood them, and they made me laugh. Fifty plus years later they still do. I'm so grateful for their films, and my hope is future generations will feel as I do about my favorite comedians. Their comedy is timeless.

I love Laurel and Hardy! There were frequent repeats during the '80's when I was a child, so I grew up with them. I have the 22 disc box set. I think it would be a real shame for future generations to miss out on such comic genius!

With such utter dross that goes under the name of comedy these days it's imperative that younger generations enjoy the wonderful comic genius of the boys.
