Stan and Ollie are the best ever comedy actors and their films should be shown daily on tv. They're humour should be bottled and sold as cures for everything!

Their carefully crafted characters and Hal Roach's manic vision carried common situations to uproarious absurdities, and yet they displayed a wealth of empathy and even pathos. Long may L&H endure.

Stan is the greatest Englishman there has ever been,, just behind my Dad!!

I remember fondly the old days of BBC2 when Laurel and Hardy would be shown at 5:40pm, I would be in hysterics with my mum and dad watching their antics. My street wise 13 year old son and 10 year daughter love Laurel and Hardy as many a time I will put their dvds on. If you were to explain to some one that Laurel and Hardy regularly contains slapstick falling over, hitting each other etc you would think this would not be funny but Stan and Ollie carry this off and the humour is very clever - many modern day comedians site Laurel and Hardy still as all time greats and inspiration. Get them back on mainstream tv
