I grew-up with Laurel & Hardy on the TV and places like Shakey’s Pizza, back when they used to show many of their shorts almost continuously. I have fond memories of weekend afternoon showings and the old “Movies Until Dawn” time slot. The boys were so much better than The Three Stooges and Abbot and Costello. I still watch their movies & short films on my DVR and in movie houses when I can. Luckily, lost footage is being found and shorts like “The Battle Of The Century” can now be shown in full again (with a giant sized pie fight involving 3,000 pies at the end). Stan Laurel and Babe Hardy are my favorite comedy duo and I think that they have a lot to offer every generation of both American and British kids.

A local station used to play Laurel & Hardy's shorts back in the late '70s after the 6 pm news for a half. hr. That is when I learned to truly appreciate their humor and the true friendship the two of them had. And I have been fans of them every since. They are the funniest comedy team there has ever been.
