Please show Laurel and Hardy on mainstream TV again so the next generation can enjoy them.

This is one BBC repeat I wouldn't complain about! I remember in the late 70s/early 80s, BBC2 showing L & H shorts in the early evening gave me something to look forward to during a long, boring day at school. I didn't care they were black and white or 40+ years old, nor would today's generation. Better than watching bloody Bargain Hunt for the zillionth time. Please give this petition serious consideration.

We need the younger generation to appreciate these comedy greats.

My husband and I used to watch their movies/dvds for hours on end. My husband was a "Son of the Desert". I watch them now by myself (sadly) since my hubby passed -- but still a joy and will watch them forever -- future generations need to understand true comedy and the genius of these two wonderful "Sons".

Simply the best. Their original and creative humor is directed at themselves. They don't resort to demeaning others or to setting themeselves up as self righteous judges. Among the very few comedic characters with whom I empathize so closely.

Simply the best comedy people of their era (although I think Keaton comes close, Chaplin - no thank you). These films need to be seen by EVERY generation as they are of such comedic genius. That Stan & Ollie traversed the silent and talkie age so effortlessly simply endorsed their talent, which stands up today as much as it did in the 1920's, 30's & 40's. On British TV they were a treasured part of my childhood from the late 1960's onwards. That they are lost to (mainstream) TV nowadays is a loss the current (and future) generation(s) wont realise unless they fall into then by accident on something like youtube.

They have to be on tele again!

The boys made me & my dad laugh together many times. Their simple honest clean humour is irreplaceable and timeless.
