I have encouraged my youngest son to delight in Stan and Ollie's magic recently and it has been wonderful to see him laugh joyously at the boy's films! Clearly something that is not crude or rude is fast becoming rare in this day and age, so having the the boy's back on mainstream TV is a must. What a way to show the current generation the basics for comedy genius!

Not only was I thrilled by them as a child, my mother (who was born in the 1920s) was thrilled that such an important part of her childhood should thrill her children...
...I would like the next generation of Dalys to be equally thrilled and inspired by them...!!!

Why would we not show their films? They're no less funny than they were when they were last shown on TV and they continue to have wide appeal. With all the free to air TV space that we have these days, surely there is some room for these and other classic films.

Laurel and Hardy are the funniest two people on film. It is a pity that so many young people have not had the privilege of experiencing their comedy. This could be attributed to bad parenting....but the truth is that they are not easily accessible on TV. C'mon!

I have thought the same ever since their shorts were shown on TV regularly in the 1980s. Their comedy is brilliant and timeless and it deserves to be experienced by each new generation.

It should be the law to show Laurel & Hardy on telly ever day forever! They're a million times funnier than anything else the BBC show these days. Mrs Brown's Boys for example which just ISN'T funny!!! I was recently talking to a so called 'comedian' from America who claimed he'd never heard of Laurel & Hardy!!!!!!! WTF??? That's like saying you've never heard of God!!!
