I dont think kids watch much mainstream telly anymore, but I think TV planners ought to be prioritising all past masterpieces over reality TV as much as possible.

One needs only to attend a Laurel and Hardy cinema screening to see how popular and loved they are amongst people of all ages who have been introduced to their films. Absolute shocking that they are not shown on TV, when the airwaves are filled with so much utter dross.

The world today lacks the good , basic principles of what it takes to make people Laugh - The world is too serious and TV is overloaded with depressing soaps or reality shows.. Laurel and Hardy bring good clean comedy to the screen. My son watched one of my dvd's when he was in his early teens - and loved it - one of the few times I have seen him laugh so much. Please Please bring this Comedy Duo back to TV , they are among the best comedy ( Dad's army/ Morecambe & Wise/etc) That there has been.

There is far many reality shows and soaps on tv these days, with people that have only a fraction of the talent that Laurel and Hardy had. That art of creating true comedy is very rare these days. There are no acts coming through that deliver the timing and genius that they had. In a world full of hatred and misery, let's remember what it is like to laugh so much your stomach hurts once again....
