He was a beacon of hope for the lonely, the forgotten, and anyone who struggled to find their smile. He was very motivational and supportive and he had done what he could to help others and lift up their spirits when they would lose hope. His house serves as a memory of not just him, but his kindness and generosity, which is a sacred present to all of us.

I am a lifelong fan of Richard. For his 70th birthday on July 12, 2018, I wrote him a letter of love and appreciation and mailed it directly to his home. I even made a picture of him right on the paper, smiling in his classic exercise outfit. To know that the very walls that held that wave of love might be torn down breaks my heart and it breaks the hearts of fans all across the globe.

We ask the city to step in to protect his home from demolition. We shall preserve his property as a symbol of the joy Richard gave to us so that his legacy of kindness is never forgotten.
