Clubs were great, both useful and convivial, I really hope that they can come back in some form !

I did it but it didn't work. The button with clubs or leaderboard disappeared. There is a solution. Though but Duolingo doesn't support. To download an older version of Duolingo from apkmirror.com. You uninstall Duolingo first. Download an older version, it is an apk file and install it . But you have to stop updates from Google Store. Otherwise it is updating again.

Go to your profile settings. I did this on the website, so I don’t know if you can on mobile. Go to the option, “make my profile public” and uncheck that. Let Duolingo load, and you are back in the club! I just did it, so only time will tell what happens. Maybe some will come back. Maybe they’ll soon permanently disappear. I do not know. I hope this helps

Everyone! I don’t know who here knows this trick, how well it works, or how long it will work. But I know this: it works. You can get back into your clubs, and have no leaderboards. I’ll tell you how in a new comment. My new name will be StandardSteve

Clubs offered more interaction and I felt like I had a stable group where I was making friends rather than just moving up and down through leagues with random people. Please bring clubs back.

I miss my Spanish Club, all the familiar names and the friendly exchange of encouragements. I don't want to study so hard that I can be promoted to the next league, I like to study on my own pace. I don't like to be addicted to this like my son playing online game 10 years ago. Please give us back the CLUB.

I only found out this today and I miss the clubs because last year I was in Spanish II and I used Duolingo a little bit and it helped me learn Spanish a bit more.

I don’t like the leaderboards. They are so impersonal. I want my club back. I looked forward to the daily activities and answering questions posed by club members. How do people get over 3500 points in 4 days in the leaderboards? I have stopped participating in it. I really miss my club.

Sucks the clubs were removed. Seems they care more about clicks than helping people learn. I'm not far away from finishing all skills in my Japanese course, and was planning on getting into Club and the challenges posted there when I was done. It's disappointing that that will no longer be an option.

Miss my Spanish club. I don’t understand why Duolingo closed down their clubs. Instead they should have developed and improved them.

Clubs are a good way to have real life practice with other people in the language of choice.
