Please don't remove clubs. Its a part of learning. I have native speakers in my club. And they help a lot.

For me, the clubs are the most important in Duolingo! If we lose the clubs, I have no motivation to continue Duolingo and will seek and find other opportunities. Competition alone is no motivation for me! Please keep the clubs alive !!! Please!

Clubs are the only way we can communicate through, why remove it? We are able to provide help to others learning languages. You’ll see a drop in users after removing this feature.

Our club is the primary reason why I'm using Duolingo daily. I would NOT accept, if the only reason is competition gainst others. In our club we have established some real friendships. We have a lot of fun in telling stories or jokes etc. The club is a true social element which is key to motivate most of us learning French.

I enjoy getting to talk to people in my club, and I like that it is a small group of people because you get to know who you are studying with. Please don't get rid of clubs!!
