The dedicated bus lane that was recently added in both directions from Cicero Ave going east on 79th Street is unnecessary and only causing further traffic congestion by limiting both east and west bound traffic on 79th Street to one lane. There is insufficient signage along 79th street providing motorist information & it being a 24 hour dedicated bus lane is unnecessary. In addition, there is no signage to indicate whether parking is legal to patronize businesses along this stretch of 79th street. If parking is prohibited this will only hurt the businesses along 79th Street in a time where they need all people patronizing their businesses as possible.We understand the need for fast public transit but limiting these bus lanes to only rush hours during the weekdays and additional signage regarding parking would be beneficial. Mayor Lightfoot and Alderman Curtis please consider these bus lanes changes as it will help residents and businesses. Thank you for your time

I was just sitting in traffic on 79th again and it is honestly even worse than I thought because the confusion over where to park is driving people away from our local shops. It is wild to me that nobody has bothered to put up clear signs yet even though I keep calling the office to ask what the plan is for these businesses.

79th St. is a very busy street full of cars,trucks and some buses. I have lived 79th St. for over 50yrs. This street have always been called a baby highway. It has so many cars and trucks that take this route everyday and just a few buses compared to thee other needs of transportation. Please,Mayor Lightfoot the cars and trucks need more space and not the buses.
Please removed the bus lane on 79th Street. It causes congestion in the morning and cars try to make short cuts that make the come down residential streets.
I shop almost daily at the dollar tree on 79th and Pulaski. It is nearly impossible to get there now, forcing me to shop outside our neighborhood#
With all traffic now it's just bearable going 3 lanes to 1 active lane will have traffic backed up in all Directions With drivers cutting in and out of lanes what is all the truck traffic going to do
Ridiculous concept in the first place. This is not downtown. We only have ONE bus that runs in each direction about every 20 minutes, so that's hardly a cause to tie up the entire street with a dedicated bus lane.
Get rid of it.

There needs to be more clarity about the new bus lanes. Especially when trying to make a right turn. The dotted lines appear almost too late for moving over to the right lane to turn.
