I have watched the left hander's career for the perspective of an ACC and NC State fan and believe that he very much deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

I am a Duke Alumni, Class of 1977 and Lefty Driesell is one of the reasons I adore ACC basketball. He has paid his dues and earned the right to be properly recognized for his contributions to the sport.

Lefty was a successful coach at both a small private school, Davidson, and a large public university, Maryland. Today the game needs more characters like him and he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

Growing up in the DC suburbs, my lifelong interest in college basketball began when Lefty came to UMD. He was successful and charismatic.

As a Durham High School ‘66 and UNC ‘70 grad I truly appreciate how deserving Lefty Driesell is of this honor. He had amazing success at Davidson and more of the same at Maryland. That his team suffered some unlucky losses in the NCAA tournament and never reached a Final 4 should not detract from his accomplishments

I've liked and admired Coach Driesell since his days at Davidson. His not yet being in the Hall of Fame is absurd. Put him in.

Lefty Driesell did a lot to promote and develop the college basketball game. Today, we still benefit from midnight madness and other marketing techniques that Lefty pioneered. His W - L record is also worthy of the Hall of Fame. Put him in!
