In April of 2011, Keith A. Perry was accused by Austin Slater and David Slater of picking Austin up and throwing him 11 feet from bathroom door to living room in our apartment. On the day of this incident, David Slater had picked up both Austin and his sister at about 11:30 am. However, David did not take Austin to report anything until 7 pm that evening. Keith was subsequently arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child. There was not even a complete investigation into the incident to find any proof that a crime even happened against Austin Slater. There was and still is a filing cabinet and another cabinet taking up space in the hallway that Austin was supposed to have been thrown through, and Austin would have surely hit those along with where he said he landed would have hit his head and/or body off of a solid wood end table and solid wood arm of a couch. Now I sat here that day and I can assure you Keith never left the bedroom that he was in trying to sleep and I sat and talked Austin down from some intense emotions he was feeling toward his sister at the time and watched him walk from the bathroom door, down the hallway, through the living room, and grab his jacket to head outside to cool down. Keith NEVER left the bedroom. However with absolutely no proof whatsoever Keith was convicted on testimony alone which were based on lies. Austin's testimony had remarkable discrepancies. Keith actually presented proof that it could not have happened but still was convicted on lies in testimony. He was also disabled at the time with ligaments that were still healing from a previous injury to his foot and he still is not 100%. His ligaments in his foot had the strength of a three year old at the time. I would like to request that this conviction is overturned and the matter looked into further and re-investigated to show that what was said happened could not have happened and did not happen. Keith Perry is a kind-hearted soul and I would never have anyone around my children who would bring harm to them and if they had, they would no longer be in my life ever. My children are my world, and I am sorry if you feel that I am a bad parent for not siding with my son, but I can not in good faith back up a lie. I ask of you to please overturn this conviction and actually investigate. There were no marks on Austin, nor were there any documentation of seeing a doctor for any injuries which he surely would have had if this incident really happened. I thank you for your time on this matter.

Sincerely,

Cheryl L. Miller
