We are humbly asking the administration of the Nassau County Sheriff's Office to allow us to continue to use "Nassau" when calling our dispatchers. We do not feel like we are a "HQ". Calling "Nassau" is like a tradition. It would be like changing the mascot of a college football team. Can you imagine the Florida Gators being called the Florida Milk Cows? Thank you!

By definition they would not be HQ. They would be the EOC. HQ would be the main building. Plus, if we had to patch together JSO, it would help avoid confusion as not of their guys would refer to their dispatch as Nassau.

Stupidest change ever. Everyone here knows it as Nassau and switching to HQ is just gonna cause radio traffic messes. Leave it alone.
