Denny has been a key component to the CHOA OR. He began, ~15 years ago, as a surgical tech and was excellent in that roll. He returned to school and became an Anesthetist PA. He has been an superb PA. He functions in the precepting role of students and is excellent at his job. I steongle disagree with this decision!
Bring Denny back!

I thank all of you for your kind words and your outpouring of love and support. They have failed to move the minds of those with the ultimate power to make this decision. I will be OK. I already have begun some planning. But I will never be as happy and challenged and fulfilled as I was doing our work. It is the most important task I can imagine. You all will always mean the world to me. With gratitude and tears, Denny.

Denny is such a valuable member of our team. In 8 years of knowing him as a co-worker and friend, I have found him to be a warm, caring and supportive individual, always with a great and positive attitude. Additionally he is an excellent clinician, hard worker and always willing to jump in and help. He treats all the children here as if they were his own, and takes great care of his 'work family' that is clearly so important to him. I see him volunteering for and taking on numerous projects and tasks beyond his job requirements because he wants to solve problems and help people. He is a huge asset to this group and it would be a terrible loss not to have him here anymore. Thanks in advance for your time.

Denny is an incredibly important part of Egleston. His knowledge and work ethic is unparalleled, and he is an incredible teacher, and colleague. To lose him would not only hurt the department but also the morale of the unit.

Denny has been an incredible teacher and colleague to me at Egleston. He genuinely cares about his coworkers and the patients he is responsible for. He is kind to everyone he meets, and is constantly providing encouragement and smiles to coworkers. Denny is irreplaceable in the Surgical Services department.

I have known Denny for many years and have never been made to feel uncomfortable in any way. He provides top notch care for his patients and is a great teacher as well. It would be a devastating loss to Egleston/ anesthesia to let Denny go.

Denny has been an integral part of our Anesthesia department and Egleston OR as a whole. Though I do not know the details of the situation, I believe he would never knowingly hurt anyone. As a colleague, he is always willing to help anyone regardless of their role and comes to work with a good attitude and no complaints. Denny is someone who is constantly finding ways to improve work flow whether it is doing extra research to improve OR equipment or making suggestions to improve efficency. He is an asset to Egleston and would be a great loss if no longer here.

Denny has always been awesome to work with! He's a great teacher and always so caring, one of the most caring individuals I have worked with. I can't pretend to know what happened, but I feel it would be a great loss for CHOA if he is no longer allowed to work here and care for our children.

I agree with the sentiments expressed in this petition and I believe that Denny would never purposefully hurt anyone. I know that he is devastated by the fact that he has hurt someone and made them uncomfortable. The punishment of dimissal is very extreme, especially in the light that this one occurance is counted as multiple “strikes.” If given the opportunity, I know that Denny would rectify his behavior. I am equally sure that he would participate in any amount of training that CHOA seemed fit. Denny truly has a good heart and is the perfect employee for a remediation process. I know that he would engage in it. Thank you for your consideration and time.

I’ve known Denny for many years. I do not believe the allegations against him. Who ever has made them has taken his behavior completely out of contexts.

Denny is a wonderful, professional asset to this deapartment. It would be a terrible loss to see him leave.
