Please help us to save a piece of Public property (public access site) "Donated to the people of the State of Michigan"

I grew up in the fine town of Sebewaing, and my family enjoyed the great outdoors to the fullest extent in this area. I would be disappointed to think that the people in power of the state government at this time, would abuse this generous donation of property for the residents of Michigan to use. To those is power now, please think carefully and wisely on this issue. Think how your wishes might be abused in the future if you set this disastrous precedent of selling/trading this property.

this transfer shouldw happen. its not what the donation of land was ment for. Just allow the Bay Shore kids to use it!! problem solved!!

This was wrote after Teresa Lee called up and spoke with Earl Flegler and was told some lie's just like he has told the rest of us also! He is working more for Bay Shore Camp than he is the people of the State of Michigan.

Thelma Whitlock's wishes should continue to be honored. This appears to me to be not so much of a land exchange as a land grab. Let's just call it what it is. And remember what it was: a gift to the people of Sebewaing and Michigan.

As a great niece of Thelma Whitlock I at first agreed that this piece of land should remain for the people of Michigan to use. But it was not specifically this piece of land, it was land that could be used for hunting waterfowl and pheasants, access to fishing. Thelma and Stanley left the state money to purchase land that meat specific criteria. Time changes everything, I understand that this piece of land is not completely usable for the original intention. That the two pieces being considered In trade offer more opportunities to the people of the state. In addition this current piece of land will continue to be accessible to the people of the state via a walking easement on the side away from the camp. I understand that change is hard but we have to look at what is best for the biggest number of people.

Thelma Whitlock was my Dad's aunt. The intent of this memorial was so,the people of Michigan could use and enjoy the states natural resources. This land swap should not be allowed to go thru.

keep the land open to public and state use, it was the people who donated the land that wanted it like that.
