Well Fyi, for the most part this Land Trade is a done deal. the actual documents have not yet become official according to Steve Sutton of the DNR, but it will be signed eventually. I thank all of you for your help, and efforts. I ended up being too little too late, and I will take the blame for that I was trying my best, but I guess my best wasn't good enough. It comes down to Money Talks and Bs walks. And we could not convince them that there are enough people that still use the land. If we had applied for Grant's and had it dredged out, it would be a guaranteed hot spot for fishing and duck hunting again. But the DNR don't see to care about that, and seem to be O.K with the fishing license sales dropping year after year!

Ironically Teresa Lee also used to work for the DNR, and was the last family member found of the 4 the other 3 where more stable and where admittedly opposed to this transaction and still are, they didn't change there mind multiple time or get reeled in by the DNR to drive to the NRC meeting and talk in favor of her former employer. There has been far to many twist and turns and sneaky shady deals and lies told in this whole transaction. I'm seriously thinking of writing a book on this whole ordeal.

I'm opposed to this land swap and encourage the DNR to stop it.

I have used this access site and my Dad had used it as well for many years. This land should be used as intended from the Whitlocks.

This was donated WITH INTENTION. That intention must be honored, or give it back to the family.

I believe this land should be kept and used for what the Whitlock family intended it to be used for. Something that all residents of this community can use and enjoy. If it is transferred to Bay Shore Camp, then the public will lose access to this piece of land. Cannot be allowed.
