By keeping the death penalty as a form of sentence you keep the relatives of the deceased without any immediate resolution because of the appeals process, which keeps the case alive. If he had had life without parole, it would have been the end of the situation for them. Also, if he is innocent, there is nothing that can be done after he has been executed

There is no point in killing a person. It will not get the dead ones alive nor it will reduce the sufferings of their relatives and friends, It does not serve as deterrent. It has the risk of executing innocent people.

leaving aside, that he seems to be innocent..... death penalty is anyway legal state murder/legal state terrorism from a country that dont have any right to claim to be christian and democratic.

A person who professes to be innocent should never be executed. States have gotten it wrong AT LEAST 150 times, probably many more. Please halt Mr. Bower's execution.
