Some of these reasons are why I have pretty much left dA entirely. When staff members would rather argue over semantics, than provide the pertinent information to long-time members, you know a site cares little about their artists (if at all).

It comes to mind that Fine Art America has some fine things in place to prevent the right-click stealing and the overall protection of their artwork. I believe it is 110% justified to show users who is downloading their work. I also sell stock thru GettyImages and while I'm not privy to the who of selling my stock, I still get lots of details about when, how big, how often, and how much.... of course they are a sales company and they are hugh so can afford more protection than DA. If you are a CORE member... then yes, more protection should be offered... but it has to be decided just how DA can better protect it's members first. Btw, I did read all the recent info give on what 'stolen' art really means... that was a big leap in my understanding about art theft. With the new laws so lienent about "Trans-formative Art" it seems that there is no art safe anywhere anymore. See the recent example of the "Instagram" scandal where the person who "stole" the images and sold them in a gallery actually WON his case! That truly made me feel that none of us are safe... I do want DA to protect us more, even if people are getting away with this. Thanks... just my 2-cents.

It is especially hard for writers. I have found my poetry and parts of my two novels forthcoming that are both copyrighted to me online under others signatures.

I have two deviantART accounts, and I've actually had my art stolen for the purpose of being used to bash one of my friends. I've also noticed that on some of my deviations, the number of downloads is vastly more than the number of favs. I don't feel that any of these requests are unreasonable.
