Bibb Medical Center and Emergency Medical Services are here due to years of hard work by dedicated people who had the best interest of Bibb County's citizens at heart. There have been efforts by misguided elected officials to "prop" up their general fund but each time those efforts have been legally turned back. The bottom line is that Bibb County has a hospital that is a shining example of how good a rural hospital can be with proper leadership and honest and open goals. Other places call to see how our hospital does it. Let's keep this good thing being a good thing.

This tax is a vital part of Bibb Medical Center's operating budget. It is used in part for providing care for the indigent of Bibb County. Don't let the Commission take these funds.

The County may need funds, but who dosen't, one of the reasons the health care is doing as well as it is, is because of the tax. All you will be doing by taking away the Health Care Tax is having BOTH in financial trouble in the future. The County Commissioners will always need money......like a bottomless pit. The citizens of rural Bibb County need quality health care, even more so for those that can't drive on the roads. Everyone can't drive to Tuscaloosa, Birmingham or Shelby County.
