Al. Legislature authorized this 2 cent sales tax so it not up to the Commissioners to disburse our tax monies as they want. Our current Commissioners seem to be out of touch with the citizens of Bibb County. They (I'll assume with our tax money) placed a large ad in the Centreville Press Feb. 10. Lets allow them to let the citizens know where our tax monies have been spent since 1946. Election is soon, vote for someone that has interest in Bibb County and the citizens. I failed to mention they have already voted to discontinue payments to ambulance service.

Roads? If you defund the hospital... "Where your going, you won't need roads" Plenty other places to generate the revenue.... The bill should be left in as is, the original author knew what he was doing....

I worked for Amserv for ten years. I can honestly say it was the best most rewarding job I ever had. Every trip to BMC which was sometimes quite a few during a shift was always professional and with compassion for the patient and sick people can be mean and cranky when they don't feel the best. So in saying if taking this tax money away would effect the quality of service that BMC and Amserv offers then I don't think it would be a good idea. I think the road I ride on everyday is in pretty pitiful shape but I would heap rather have a decent EMS and hospital.

We need and must do everything we can to keep our hospital running. This hospital has so much to offer for our small town. How could we not continue this tax that accommodates so many of our citizens. Come on commissioners, wake up! This is not a want, this my friends is a necessity for our citizens.
