Like many Ashford residents I was treated at the hospital and feel it should be preserved in memory of all those who worked and were patients there. Ashford has retained very few of our older buildings and it must be possible to convert the building for some useful purpose.

This is a landmark building and is worthy of preservation and reuse. Its retention was, and remains, a condition of the planning application. The builders were fully aware of their remit. The character of the existing building enhances the development site and in no way adversely affects its viability.

Ww2 the hospital was a very busy front line hospital. I was a nurse dealing with casualties. Guys and Canterbury medical staff helped us in air raids etc my parents helped pay for and maintain the hospital. I was born and bred in Sackville Crescent. The railway was a secret strong point together with number 1 Kings Avenue and the last house in Godington road.we are sending patients to Canterbury when the William Harvey full. The old hospital should reopen. We had a secret fully equipped hospital underground during the war in case it was needed. We checked it daily. A very valuable part of Ashfords history.

I worked at Ashford Hospital until it closed, it was an amazing place to work, and to demolish the admin block would insult the people of Ashford who raised the money to build it and all the dedicated people who worked there since 1928. Please don't do it.

The developers were told their proposals could go ahead as long as the building was preserved so Abbey Homes Development live with it and stop being GREEDY.

Let's not destroy part of ashfords history, too much has gone already. Considering most of the money was donated by the public to build it, then surely it should stay standing.

Iv'e been in there several times it's a very nice a sturdy building, why can't they incorporate it into their design in some way so at least we can keep some of Ashford's History.
Well done ABC form turning them down let the developers know that this town is not a walk over.

It is a sturdy building has been standing proud since 1928. Its seen alot happening in its walls.Its a master piece of its age. I have fond memories of it. It is fit for a purpose, So I do not wish to see it demolished. These buildings have stood for many a long year and will stand in good stead for a many longer year to come. REFUSE THE DEVELOPERS

We need to keep good character buildings like this too much else has been stripped from our town. Even the old pubs make useful accommodation. .The 'ring road' sounded the death knoll of a much loved market town. Other counties manage to mix old and new without creating such havoc and eyesores as Ashford seems to let alone the money wasted ie Bank St roadway,
