Why make should you make them close? They are a thriving local business-- they are not harming anyone and are good people who give to this community-- Where there is a Will -- There is a Way! PLEASE GRANDFATHER THEM IN -- OR MAKE AN ACCEPTION .

After 7 years? It's not as though they've been a secret or trying to hide in anyway, (Best of the 'Burg!). If nothing else, they should be grandfathered in.

Dixie Joe’s is the only true seafood market serving rural Spotsylvania County. They consistently offer a great product at a competitive price and have even branched into offering prepared seafood dinners to go. In addition they have sponsored various charities over their many years in business and always do more than their share of giving back to the community. It is my understanding that they have invested a significant amount in their seafood business at its current location and have been cleared by the county zoning board to operate in their current location for the past 7 years. I would encourage the county to uphold their original decision regarding zoning for this business and allow them to continue to operate their business as they have for the past 7 years. Their business was in operation when the neighbors decided to move in and in fact one member of the complaining party used to work for Dixie Joes. It certainly sounds like more of a personal vendetta than a legitimate zoning concern to me. I am hoping that this issue can be resolved and Dixie Joe’s can continue to serve myself and so many others who have come to enjoy the convenience of a local seafood market that consistently sells a quality product. They truly are an asset to the community.

Good luck! I hate when people try to hurt people who are trying to be successful. Jealousy and envy can be very poisonous.

Put up a priavacy fence to where that nosey neighborhood can not see what's going on. That alone would drive them bonkers... This is a uncalled for action and if the neighbors dont like then they should leave.... Dont like Sea food then move to the mountains...lol
