I just received the news that my brother is coming home. I am honestly in shock because this outcome belongs entirely to the people who took the time to read his story and believe in his innocence.

My brother has been incarcerated every since he was 15 years old in the state of North Carolina. He has already served 20 years for robbery, in a crime he did not commit. Please sign our petition on his behalf so he can see the light again. He does not deserve to be treated this way.

This man is a good man who has made changes un his life. This is a crime he did not commit he was just a boy how can some one be so cold to even allow this to happen..... He has lost his mom while sitting there but has kept a positive attuide while obtaining degrees and bettering his self as a man!!!! FREE DERRICK DOWDY EL
Free my lil bro 20 years is beyond enough time. The system got over on a child that has paid his debts to society.
I think and know that this man has served his time for what he has done, we have people out her killing and come back out on the streets within a couple of years. Please free Derrick Dowdy
I grew up with Derrick i have always known him..He was not a Bad person at all an its a shame tht they gave him tht much time I REALLY REALLY MISS HIM...LOVE U DERRICK.....#FREE DERRICK DOWDY
I am signing this petition because my cousin is a good man and he has done so much good out here! He has been locked up majority of his life along with my other cousin LaShawn Dowdy! They never murdered anyone and they should be given the chance to show you that they are good men! They belong out here with family and friends!

He is a true inspiration, due to knowing how long he has served in prison his attitude towards man kind is amazingly gentle ,respectful, and Positively infectious. Always concerned about a solutions instead of the problems I'm motivated and inspired by his ways in Dealing with his unfavorable situation and Finding plus highlighting all of the positives in his current situation
