An owner who is willing to invest the necessary time, resources, and put a leadership team in place to end the years of frustration for the fans of this team.
End the apathy and sell the team now. According to public records, William Clay Ford purchased the team in 1963 for $4.5M. The franchise is now worth close to $1B. Please take your money and run.
In the 50 years under Ford family ownership, the Lions have won 0 Championships, attended 0 Superbowls, and have won only 3 division championships. They have won just over 41% of the games that they have played in this time with a record of 321 (wins) - 446 (losses) - 13 (ties). This once-proud franchise (though not in my lifetime) has been relegated to a laughing stock in professional sports.
It's time to change the future of this team and it starts at the top. Please join me in imploring the Ford family to sell the Detroit Lions. This is the first step towards putting this team in a position to win.
