We respectfully petition for the omission of Exam 5 from the nursing pharmacology course because its excessive scope and overly specific focus on the mechanisms of action for 36 medications do not reasonably reflect the essential pharmacological competencies required for nursing practice. The exam's format prioritizes memorization over practical application and critical thinking, thereby misaligning with the educational goals of preparing students for real-world clinical responsibilities. Omitting this exam will allow for a more balanced and meaningful assessment of our knowledge and skills.
