Please reconsider moving the gold pan. The tourists coming into town see it and stop to take pictures. Airline passengers love looking at it as it is one of the first things they see. It gets people talking about Quesnel, its something everyone remembers. If the "bypass" goes through then nobody will even see it at the train station location.

It’s not broken so don’t fix it. Spend our tax paying money on something else that our community is in need of. The gold pan is the welcome/gateway to what our city is known for and it leads to Barkerville, leave it there.

The Gold Pan should stay where it is and not be relocated. It is a proud symbol of Quesnel's history and of the gold rush. It is the first stop many visitors to Quesnel make to take photos. It's also at the junction to both Cottonwood House and Barkerville which are all part of Quesnel's history and the gold rush. It would be a shame to move it and replace it with something that has no historical significance. The money to relocate it would be better spent on creating something similar for the train passengers.
