Gold Pan should stay where it is, good parking, good surroundings.(flowers/lawns) Safe for people to take pictures, better back drop than rusty tagged train cars. Barkerville would benefit far more as well if it was left where it is.

I fail to see how this move does anything positive for the community. It will not direct people into the core any more so than it does now. Our main street is the ONLY highway north or south. Geography and infrastructure already do this. What a ridiculous waste of time and money. Shame on the council.

Don't waste our hard earned tax dollars moving our town symbol from where it rightly belongs to the train station. It's a waste of money, and a stupid place to put it. It's exactly where it should be at the junction of Barkerville highway where tourists like to stop on their way out there for pictures. Stop trying to change our town slogan that's become world famous. We are the gold pan city.
