Leave it where it is. They want to redo it fine but leave it where it is . Its part of a land mark for Barkerville and gold rush trail .It is more fitting to stay at the barkerville hwy and 97 junction.

Those who placed it in its current location put it at the closest intersection of Quesnel (the last stop on the Northern route to the goldfield) and the Barkerville turnoff (where the biggest gold deposits originated before being carried down along the Fraser river over the eons). That made the most sense then and still does today. It is the reason Quesnel is here in the first place - the last major stop on the Fraser before heading east to the goldfields. It speaks to the history and inception of the community.
Those who seek to make a name for themselves in the history Quesnel by creating a "new" dynamic that would be a personal kudo for themselves as a single solitary person perform an incredible injustice to those men and women who forged into the interior in search of gold and created this beautiful place. You should be ashamed of yourselves for your short-sighted view of this (and Barkerville's) incredible history. Make your mark on this city by doing something constructive - not DESTRUCTIVE.

Leave it where it is. Lots of visitors stop to take pictures there when they head out to barkerville. If you want something at the train station, build something else!

PLEASE leave the gold pan where it is. It has been so much part of the entrance towards Barkerville, does not need to be moved

There's no reason for this. It's perfectly fine where it is (and we love it where it is)!
Why spend extra money to move it??
Ridiculous!

Leave the thing where it is. The train station is still gonna look like a train station even with it there. Just a train station with a gold pan in front of it. Start spending your time and our money on stuff that’s actually useful to this city instead of wasting it on changing mottos and moving gold pans cause if u don’t I’m gonna run for mayor and when I win, I’ll clean house at that damn city hall! What residents of this town gave u the dumb idea to move it to begin with? Probably nobody cause nobody thinks it should be moved! Talk to the people and see what they want!
